Full Coverage Waterproof Breathable Jacket

The Ruffwear Aira Dog Rain Jacket is a full coverage raincoat for perfect for wet and muddy adventures. The raincoat uses waterproof, wind-proof fabric to keep the rain out and the breathable fabric allows for use in warm climates, even during our hot Australian summer months.

In cooler months, the Aira Rain Jacket can be worn over insulating layers such as the Ruffwear Climate Changer Fleece Jacket for warmth and rain protection.

Coverage over the shoulders, hips and hindquarters maximizes protection and minimizes wet, muddy dog cleanup.

Autolock buckles on each side secure the jacket during activity and provide easy on/off. The addition of Leg loops provide a secure fit in super windy conditions.

A great new feature is the integrated leash portal that allows leash attachment when worn over the Ruffwear Front Range Harness or Ruffwear Web Master Harness.

Features:

  • Waterproof, windproof fabric
  • Breathable mesh lining fabric for comfort
  • Oversized storm collar folds up for additional weather protection
  • Vest style jacket provides good coverage with easy on/off
  • Autolock Buckles for easy on/off
  • Trail-ready and packable
  • Leg loops provide secure fit in windy conditions
  • Leash portal on back for attaching to the Ruffwear Front Range or Web Master Harnesses
  • Low-light visibility with reflective trim and light loop for attaching a Ruffwer Beacon reflective dog light.

I am thrilled - exactly what we need and wanted. I love the fabric, love the mesh, love the design, love how it hugs Chiefs body and offers him all the freedom he needs to run, chase his ball, and work in it! He seems content and it's really useful for the chill foggy mornings or nights. It looks so elegant and it's very practical. I like the little extra "buttons" in the buckle pieces. Great. Thanks for the jacket - it's likely my most favorite out of the bunch. I'd be excited to see the overcoat have the same cut ;) Awesome. Chief, San Francisco Bay

Fantastic quality, lightweight but tough. Gives full chest coverage. Fits over the Front Range Harness with access to both leash attachments. Joanne , Albany WA

AWESOME! I used to wonder why people put rain coats on their dogs, I mean, just towel them off right? But then my German Shepherd hit 8 years old and I decided she shouldn't have to put up with being constantly damp during the weeks of rain that sometimes hit Sydney. Reviews said this rain coat had the best coverage (it does!) and we already have great experiences with other Ruffwear products, so we splurged on the Aira. Holy cow, why did I not buy my dog a rain jacket before?! She stays dry, so her bed stays dry, and the towel we use to do her legs and tummy dries much faster. Everything is dry, the house doesn't smell like wet dog, I have way less work to do, and she doesn't mind the jacket one bit. It even has leg straps to keep the jacket centered, which are just loose enough that she doesn't notice them. I am a happy hypocrite - rain jackets for dogs are awesome, and this one is light, packable, quick drying, and has everything you need and nothing you don't. Jal and Tully, Newtown NSW

This is a five-star jacket. My Henry is very active and we wanted a jacket that would not heat him up. Perfect for the wet to very wet days. Some features include a reflective piping down the side, a flap at the top to direct rain away from the head, a tidy opening on the top to allow a lead to connect to a harness and the jacket follows through to the undercarriage to keep mud and water of the belly and chest. Also has elastic rear leg loops to secure the coat in place. Henry did not have an issue getting used to the jacket and rainy days do not restrict our walks now. Daniel Corkill, Blackheath NSW

Perfect - Molly is a Spoodle and when rain hits her coat she definitely has a bad hair day! We also have problems if the coat dries before getting home - wet curly hair matts so easily. I love the flaps which cover the straps holding the rain coat on her. Living in the mountains we do experience winds and these flaps keep her dry. I love the high collar effect - just beautiful. Finally, Molly wears a front leading harness and I find that her lead clips easily to the front. Jadebk, Kurrajong Heights NSW

Extremely happy with the raincoat as it has been hard to find one long enough to cover our German Shepherd.

Love the fact it is light too, he can wear it longer and not overheat.

Very stylish.

Perfect raincoat. We've tried a lot of them (including the other more lightweight one from Ruffwear) and this coat will keep her dry in pouring rain and hip-high grassland. The length is great on her (we bought a Medium) it covers her rear and the back of her neck - very well thought out design.

The only problem we have encountered is due to our area, the amount of grass seeds/burs/cobbers pegs that stick to the elastics on the inner bag legs are annoying to her and us (I'm tempted to snip the elastics off).

Highly recommended, would buy again.

Absolutely fantastic product! Fit's my labrador perfectly, she's super comfy in it, stays dry and most importantly she cannot escape from it! The Aira jacket fits perfectly over the top of the Climate Changer Fleece jacket for cold wet days and is great worn on it's own when it's wet and windy. My girl loves it and so do I, great product.

MeredithI was after a jacket which was lightweight and not too hot - for those days which were a bit cool and overcast or with some spitting rain. My two Rhodesian Ridgebacks got a Large size each, and it was perfect!! Barely needed any extra fitting, especially around their large chests. And I love that it covers their butt!! I did remove the rear leg elastic loops, they seemed very unsure about them (ha). The "hole" at the back allows me to access their back harness clip so we can walk and run as usual, and the reflective strip is also helpful in the 6am dark. They like them, haven't destroyed them, and they're easy to put on and clean afterwards. Lovely!

Fiona The measurement guide was spot on - this rain jacket fits the dog perfectly. The material seems like it will be long wearing and the jacket doesn't contain a fleece lining, which is perfect. When the dog is out walking, he doesn't need a lining.

HudsonWe live in the Southern Highlands of NSW, quite a wet place. Hudson is a 3 year old German Shorthaired pointer, so he needs a good run every day, rain hail or shine! The Ruffwear Aira rain jacket fits him perfectly (not always easy for a skinny but long GSP) and allows us to get out into the bush no matter what the Highlands weather is giving us. Really pleased with it, as we are with all our Ruffwear gear - the highest quality dog adventure gear on the market in our opinion.
