BridieI measured my dogs paws on a piece of paper (drawing with pencil either side and measuring the width) however, I still managed to buy boots once size too big. You do need to measure all four paws because back paws are skinnier than the front. The boots I both for the back paws fit perfectly on his front paws. Recommend trimming toe nails if they're long too to ensure the boots fit snug in the right spots. The boots are great. Good quality construction and materials and work great for non-slip on my wooden floors for a 10 year old Amercian Staffy x with arthritis. You can see from the picture he looked a little concerned with the shoes but he got used to them quickly.

These boots have given our dear 14 year old German Shorthaired Pointer Lexi a new lease on life. Lexi had been struggling to get around on smooth surfaces due to a neurological condition. She would often fall over and had trouble getting up. This was very distressing for all concerned. Lexi now wears these boots along with the socks when inside our house. She sits quietly while we fit them, even lifting her paw to assist. Lexi took to them like a duck to water and has never looked back. Thank you Zoe for your assistance and advice with sizing. We were amazed with your prompt response to our call for help. It had come to the stage where I was dreading taking her to the Vet, as I really thought her time had come. Since receiving her new boots we have not needed to visit the Vet and I have been able to reduce her medication. It's great that they have been able to make her so much more confident and comfortable. We simply cannot thank you enough.

Just incredible. I struggle to get my dog to let me take them off as he loves them so much. Jack has hip dysplasia as well as having a knee reconstruction. His confidence and muscle tone have improved so much!

Very well made product. I manages to fit them on all 4 paws without too much fuss and my Labrador retriever walked okay inside after a short time. Haven't tried an outside walk yet as he is recovering from a slight paw pad inflammation.

The boot is fabulous for our boy who has weak back legs and often slips on tiles

IanThese dog boots protect my guide dog Bryson's paws from the hot pavement while waiting to cross roads. The boots hold well onto to Bryson's paws and so far none have fallen off while we've been out and about. He gets lots of admirers and lots of questions about why he is wearing them! The socks (liners) tend to slip down inside the boots which makes the boots harder to put on.

Kaye FewMy son has an Assistance Dog from Assistance Dogs Australia, we live in Derby WA where the temperatures outside can reach in excess of 40+, We purchased these shoes for Phoenix so he can join us all on family outings where the ground can get very hot.. We don't intend leaving him behind, where there are alternatives such as this.......

It is easier to get the shoes on the back feet than the front feet. The claws seem to spread more on the front foot & get caught when trying to get the shoes on. I am still trying to maintain a balance between the shoe slipping forward, making walking harder, & cutting off the circulation by securing the shoe strap too tightly. The shoes have rarely come off altogether. Our dog had sore feet from an allergy. The shoe has protected the feet while they are healing but unfortunately, the feet have also sweated in the shoe, promoting bacterial growth. Our dog also has a lot of hair on her legs. I have had to watch that the shoe does not cause undue matting of the fur beneath the shoe. The shoes are slightly noisy & the dog doesn't really like them. She walks a little awkwardly in them but the grip is good & she does not slip & slide all over the place. The shoes look good but would not be worn as a fashion statement. You would need a sensible reason to put them on your dog.
Overall the product is good.

My dog has joint issues and was standing on her toes awkwardly, causing the nails to wear down excessively. These boots have allowed me to be able to still walk her without causing her pain. They fit really well and haven't fallen off. However, I was disappointed with the lack of waterproofing on the upper lining. The boots get saturated walking through heavy dewed grass after a couple of steps. This causes irritation to my dog and its the only time she tries to remove the boots.

I bought a split set for my dad's Labrador who was getting old and slipping around on hard floors, becoming too scared to walk around... The fit was excellent. After wearing them daily for a week, they began to rub, causing her 'thumbs' to rub into her foot. Might just be a wearing-in issue? She really lives wearing then though, even with the running, and can now run around the house. She's got a whole new lease on life now!
