We were struggling to get our 1-year-old Labrador in the pool, despite him having gone through hydrotherapy. The life jacket we were using before Ruffwear was bulky and he was able to pull at its neck. As a last resort, I purchased the Ruffwear Float Coat and our puppy because not only a swimmer but quite possibly a future water polo player. The coat slips on, he can't muck with the neck or the buckles and it holds him up so well that he'll send a long time in the pool, whacking around a large ball. It tires him out on these hot summer days and its great exercise for him too. Highly recommend this coat.
After trying several life jackets over the years, the Ruffwear K-9 Float Coat is absolutely the best. It's incredibly easy to put on my excited, wriggly staffy, the adjustments are straightforward, and there are no annoying straps hanging down. Most importantly, it floats my heavy boy effortlessly so he can swim continuously for a couple of hours without any issues.
My other dog has been using a Ruffwear life jacket for 5 years now and it still works perfectly - not a single problem. The quality and durability are outstanding. I very, very highly recommend this jacket. Without a doubt, it's the best around.
