Sticks are irresistible to many dogs, mine included. BUT I had an alarming chat with my vet once where he identified wooden sticks as a major hazard with dogs. Sticks often lead to mouth injuries from wood lodged in dog's gums and mouths. Just thought I'd pass this on in the interest of collective canine safety.
