The Help ‘Em Up Harness is a full body lifting device, so the weight of your dog determines the right harness size. If your dog is in-between two different harness sizes based on your dog's weight, this is where you need to have a to look at the neck, girth and waist measurements for the best fit.
Generally if a dog is on the cusp of two different sizes, we recommend sizing down in harness size.
Keep in mind there is some flexibility in the harness strap measurements (1-3 cm) so you are covered if your dog is a bit over the measurement listed for the chest, waist or neck.
The harness is fully adjustable, so it can be adjusted (up or down) based on your dogs’ dimensions.
This is the deepest part of your dogs’ chest. Measure all the way around your dog's rib cage in the widest spot.

Measure all the way around your dogs’ hips right in front of the hind legs.

The girth and waist are the most important measurements, but the neck measurement can also be helpful.

A harness worth it's weight in gold
That's what customers say. This harness is the single most necessary item I could recommend for anyone with a dog with any sort of mobility issues. The pelvic pad and under hip lift is soft and distributes the weight in just the right places for best use and comfort. If your dog is reluctant to move try this harness!
Don't undo the good you've done! The Help'em Up dog lifting harness gives you a way to safeguard your dog's healing. Dogs recovering from injuries or surgery require support. This harness makes it possible.
This harness is designed to lift your dog’s mass from below, beneath the chest and pelvis, and distribute the weight over large padded surfaces.
The chest and back panels are lined with new air flow materials and perforated neoprene to keep the harness cooler and more comfortable than other support harnesses on the market. The attention to detail means the straps also have neoprene sleeves and any areas of possible friction are covered with super soft micro fleece.
The back “Hip Lift” portion is made up of a belly band, supporting straps and a movable pelvic pad to spreads your dog's weight over multiple pressure points so you can lift the complete pelvic floor while supporting the spine. Strain and stress on joints, ligaments and arteries are reduced as you lift from beneath your dog and not around the legs.
This harness is constructed of buoyant neoprene and is perfect for getting pups in and out of water.
To top it off this baby is machine washable in mild detergent so it cleans up easily. Please let it air dry for greater longevity.
This is the perfect harness for moving animals into and out of mobility carts

I bought it to lift my Labrador while she is recovering from ACL surgery.
Fitting became a problem for two reasons. It is difficult to fit a dog with a torn ACL. Secondly the instructions said to line up the O ring with chest bone. I found D rings on the side but no O ring on the front. Still confused. Then I realised my friend and I would not be able to lift her out of the car due to her weight and the need for us to lift upwards from below.
So I cut up an old sleeping bag and sewed handles on it. And it worked.
Money down the drain.
However it is obviously a well made device. Shame about the O ring.
Five stars.
Sturdy and well-designed harness that capably fits and supports plus sized doggies. Excellent way to safely support dogs with mobility issues. Highly recommend.
My 12 year old Greyhound can no longer jump up into the back of my car as he has increased weakness to his back legs. This harness is a game changer I can easily lift him up into the car and also support him when he jumps down as occasionally his back legs give way on landing. With this harness he can jump down with my support and land safely every time.
Amazing Harness ! Well worth the investment for my 7kg Pug Gracie. Gracie is 12 and has limited use of her back legs. The physio recommended this and it has been a great helper for her to have a bit of normalcy and has saved my back! Would give it 10 stars if I could !
Hey Sam!

I weigh about 55kg. My big lump of a dog weighs 70kg. We try to load him into the mini van and he just flops down on the ground and says no way I'm getting into that scary thing. Same deal with trying to load him into a horse float. No medical issue with him, he is just a lovable, stubborn and loyal lump rolled into a giant dog. However I can now lift up his front legs. Lifting his back legs are a cinch with this. The look of surprise on his face when I lift him is priceless. I reckon If bribe him with a cheeseburger, I'll be able to get him in the van now. So I think this harness will outsmart him and solve my van loading woe with the gentle, stubborn giant. :) Thumbs up.
Oh my goodness what a cutie! Happy to hear that the Help'em Up Harness has made transitions into the van easier. :)
