Put an end to pulling!
Admit it. You've really, really, really, really, really, really had enough of pulling.
You may ask yourself why, why, why does it have to be this way when you see other people actually enjoying their walks. The amazing thing here is that this behaviour can change... pretty much immediately... if you put the right solution in place. Different dogs respond better to different solutions. And I want to offer you a solution that works for you! So, if you do try something to stop your mate's pulling from Waggle just know that you can return the gear if it doesn't do the trick for your mate.
Ok, that said.. Meet the EzyDog Cross Check Harness!
I just tried this baby out with my big furry guy Chewie today. I found it easy to put on, easy to size and comfortable for him. I also found it worked immediately to seriously reduce his pulling and also to get his attention quickly and move him along with me when he got into Mr. Sniffy mode. So I am giving it two thumbs up. You can watch Chewie and I on our test walk this morning in second video up on the page (left side under product pictures).
OK... now you be the dog for a minute.
Would you, as the dog, prefer to learn by having something tighten on your neck (the common Martingale collar technique) or by having something cinch around your girth to give you the signal you should pull less? Necks are a sensitive spot with a lot of responsibility in connecting your head to your body, right? Let's just say that if I'm the dog I say please go the girth method! I personally feel that neck checking systems can impact your dog's spinal alignment. Rather than putting pressure on the dog's neck, the Crosscheck harness uses pressure on the girth. That is a huge selling point for me.
Hassle free fit
I know many people find harnesses difficult to fit. Perfectly smart people sometimes can't do it. Ha! It actually can require an Einstein to get a dog into a harness and make the proper adjustments. If you've had this problem you will like this harness. With the the CrossCheck it's easy peasy lemon squeezy. You fit the front loop over the head, bring the other end of the strap up around your dog's girth. Then click one end into the other end at secure plastic buckle. And bob's yer uncle. There is just one spot to make size adjustment. You loosen the strap to make it bigger. You tighten it to make the whole thing smaller. Very easy.
For all the escape artists out there
If your dog is of the Houdini ilk there is good news. The CrossCheck Harness has been fully tested and deemed escape proof.
The figure 8 configuration ensures that the harness always fits securely around the dog's body and has been tested to be escape proof. This makes the Crosscheck the best harness for small, medium and large dogs that have been known to escape from dog harnesses in the past.
- Girth checking system
- Dual Stainless Steel D rings
- Escape Proof
- Easy fit figure 8 configuration
Ellie is an anxious dog that will pull on lead when approached by people and dogs, I have found using this harness with the side girth ring that she appears to settle by my side better and there is less pulling. Also as it tightens around the girth and not the neck area she does not experience that choking feeling (as with other front attached harness). This harness is easy to put and off with only one clip.
